Working with Valery is always easy because we know each other so well by now. There is usually a lot of joking around before I even touch the camera, and this shoot was no different.

While Sarah Heizel was doing Valery’s makeup, I was preparing the bedroom, checking the light and getting everything ready. Valery was sitting calmly, talking with us and having no idea that I had already prepared a little surprise for her. 😄

When the makeup was finished and she finally noticed the toy, she stopped for a second, looked at it, then looked directly at me with that expression I know very well: “David… what did you prepare this time?” I started laughing immediately, and of course Valery did too.

That little moment actually gave us the perfect mood for the shoot. Instead of starting with something too serious, we began laughing and teasing each other, and Valery became completely relaxed in front of the camera.

Sarah’s makeup looked beautiful on her, and I really loved the contrast between Valery’s soft blonde look and the black floral lace lingerie. The robe added another elegant layer at the beginning, but underneath it you could already feel that playful After Party mood.

This is what I enjoy so much about shooting with Valery. I can prepare the room, styling and lighting, but she always adds something spontaneous herself. One expression, one joke or one unexpected reaction can completely change the energy of the set.

So Valery After Party 1 MetArtX started with beautiful makeup, black lace, a lot of laughing between us… and one surprise that Valery definitely wasn’t expecting. 😉
