Working with Valery never feels like simply arriving on location and making another photo set. She is my exclusive model, but for me she has become much more than that she is a real friend, someone with a huge heart, a beautiful character, and a talent for bringing a little extra joy into my life every time we meet.
This shoot was exactly like that. From the first frames, we were laughing, joking and playing with ideas together. Valery knows me and my photography so well now that sometimes I barely need to explain what I want. A small look, a movement, the way she catches the light she understands the mood immediately and then adds something of her own.
And in Silent Invitation, she looks incredible. The soft pink dress, her long blonde hair, those unforgettable green eyes and the warm Mediterranean light gave the whole set this romantic, almost innocent beginning. But Valery has that dangerous little talent of changing the atmosphere with one look. Sweet one second, teasing the next, and suddenly the temperature of the shoot is completely different.
That beautiful stone fountain became our playground for the afternoon. What started elegant and delicate slowly became much more daring, but behind the camera the mood stayed wonderfully relaxed. We laughed a lot between shots, tried different positions, changed little details and simply enjoyed making something beautiful together.
This is what I love about photographing Valery. Yes, she is stunning in front of my camera, but what makes our shoots special for me is everything around the photographs: her positive energy, her trust, her humor and the friendship we have built over time.
Some models give you beautiful pictures. Valery gives me beautiful memories as well.
And I think you can feel a little of that connection inside Silent Invitation.
