Wikki K in Charming

There are shoots where everything begins with a complicated concept, and there are shoots where one small detail suddenly gives you the whole story.
With Wikki K and Charming, it was the pink ribbon around her neck. The room itself had a completely different personality warm wooden walls, books, daylight coming through the windows, and that wonderfully bold blue chair sitting in the middle of it all. Then we added the pink neon light, Wikki stepped in wearing delicate pink satin and lace, and suddenly all those contrasting colors started working together. And Wikki knew exactly what to do with it.
She has this beautiful ability to look innocent for one photograph and dangerously confident in the next. I would be preparing the camera or changing my position, look back at her, and she would already be giving me another expression a tiny smile, a raised eyebrow, or that quiet look directly into the lens that says she knows perfectly well what effect she is having. The carnations became another spontaneous part of the game. Instead of simply holding them as a prop, Wikki started playing with them, turning the stems between her fingers and letting them become part of her flirting with the camera.
Those are the moments I enjoy most because they stop feeling posed. The model begins creating her own little story inside the set. As the shoot continued, Charming became increasingly playful. Wikki moved around the blue chair, stretched those incredible long legs across it, climbed onto it, turned her back to me and then looked over her shoulder as though she had caught me watching. Of course I was watching. I had a camera in my hands. I had a very good excuse. 😉
What I especially love about Wikki is that she never needs to force sensuality. She can simply sit there, completely relaxed, and something in her eyes does all the work. When the lingerie gradually disappeared and only the soft pink stockings and ribbon remained, the visual became wonderfully simple: warm skin, pale pink, electric blue and that glowing neon line behind her. Sometimes keeping the frame simple makes it much more intimate.
By the final photographs, Wikki wasn't really playing the sweet girl in pink anymore. The smile was still there, but now there was confidence behind it almost as though she had spent the entire shoot slowly taking control of our little game. Maybe that is why Charming feels like exactly the right title. Because Wikki doesn't need to chase your attention. She smiles, looks into the camera… and waits for you to come closer.
