Some shoots are built around energy and movement. This one was about something completely different: slowing down, enjoying the warmth, and allowing every look to develop naturally.
The rustic terrace was already full of character, with terracotta tiles, volcanic stone and that beautiful pale-blue doorway. Then Avery stepped into the scene wearing delicate pink lingerie, and everything immediately felt softer and more intimate. The warm tones of the villa complemented her skin perfectly, while the quiet surroundings gave us space to work without rushing.
Avery has a special elegance in front of the camera. She never needs to force a pose or exaggerate an expression. A small smile, a playful glance over her shoulder or the gentle movement of her body is enough to completely change the atmosphere. She knows how to be sweet and flirtatious at the same time, and that natural confidence makes photographing her incredibly enjoyable.
We kept the pace relaxed, letting Avery explore the terrace while I followed her movements with the camera. The more comfortable she became, the more playful the connection between us grew. There was no need to push the moment—the sensuality appeared naturally through her expressions, her graceful posing and the way she enjoyed being admired. That is exactly what Taking It Slow is about: warm light, quiet seduction and the pleasure of taking enough time to appreciate every beautiful detail. I feel very lucky each time I work with Avery.
